I got my website online! Figured out a manual GitLab pipeline to deploy to Netlify and everything.
Itās extremely basic, but Iāve got a page of bookmarks, about page, and a blog post. Next on my list is to figure out dates and RSS feeds in Eleventy.
@eladnarra thank you! iām always forgetting which vegetables/herbs/etc are related and it felt like the perfect opportunity for a little web project.
@Manatee whoa, youāre right! the resemblance to a chalkboard wasnāt intentional, but now i canāt unsee it. my subconscious must have been drawn to that specific greenā¦
working on my shrine collection! still debating on what to call it, but want a space to organize a space to talk about my interests and personal subjects outside of the standard museum part of my website. āshrineā may not be the right word when talking about my partner, for instance
I am redesigning a bit my site, and I am playing around with an idea for the menu on mobile, using an anchor link to go to the footer where all links are found, instead of creating a real menu. Once Iāve logged all my collected issues Iām going to figure out how to sort and display the data as a grid of 500+ issues wonāt be fun for anyone.
That will allow me to get this out the door while I continue adding my collection and figure out how to paginate the individual issue data so that I can have a page per series that has an image grid of each issue I own from that series.
Iāll make a feature request to the comicgeeks module to expose a few extra data points around date etc so I can sort by date.
today I made my /now/ page into multiple pages underneath a collection (iām using jekyll; i donāt remember if that terminology extends to other SSGs).
as such, thereās an archive to previous ānowsā. i thought it might be cool to look back on some time in the future. now archive Ā» saturn.town
I added a wiki page about The Sims series to my site Well, about the mainline series games, anyway. Iām sure thereās more I could add, but for the first version of the page I focused on my own experiences and memories of the games.
