I feel a certain level of vulnerability when sharing my blog posts since they are usually personal with no Internet-related Big Topics (but I think this is just how I have always blogged on LJ and etc in the past)
some of my more substantial posts from this month:
feb 3 - life post - lunch with coworkers, washi/stationery talk, cross stitch progress, journal
feb 15 - cross stitch progress - I didn’t cross stitch this weekend but I’m working on a large area of the same color thread so progress is slow and steady.
thank you for reading if you do!!
I’m also curious - how often you like to update, and do you keep a schedule?
And as a reader - do you have a preference on how often you see updates. I like seeing blog posts so I like seeing what anyone updates no matter how long/short the post is.
Happy Lunar New Year to you! I won’t be doing any visiting this year, but I’ve got plans with some other exchange students to do a little CNY dinner of our own
I’ve written a blog post about That “Me in 2016” Social Media Trend. I’ve been blogging for years, and on my current site since 2011. So there have been blog posts from that year (it was a big year for me!)
i will not approve the test comment but yeah it seems to cut out on my end, not yours i probably should then set an actual limit on text area. i might’ve set a maximum in backend and forgot about it bc forgetting sounds like me, lol
I’m a sucker for prettifying whatever I’m using, and Kubuntu seemed the best option for that specific aspect. I cannot tell you how much fun I’m having customizing fonts, icons, cursors etc.
But for basic use I think Linux Mint or Ubuntu would suffice. Those were the ones I had used in the past, many moons ago.
Love the stickers you used, especially the koi! Enjoyed reading about your experiences with your new player and how great that some things were better than expected.
Thank you! mostly on Etsy or gifted from my spouse, the cat one is from this sticker sheet that I love so much. The goldfish are one of those papery-textured Japanese stationery stickers so I coated them with clear nail polish. The case mostly protects the ones on the back
Yeah, the same day I left that comment, I decided to try it out. I had Kubuntu up and running on the laptop in less than an hour and a half! It was surprisingly easy. It looks quite nice. Now I’m interested in trying out other distros just for the heck of it.
This is a heavy topic (CW: references to some pretty traumatic stuff), but one I needed to write about after listening to a devastating interview between 404 Media and a Kenyan man who previously worked as a data labeler for generative AI companies. Just want to raise more awareness about this, as this was something I previously knew very little about.
