Rina has a prickly exterior, but underneath it all I sense a kind and sensitive person who meant no harm. She just felt judged and lashed out.
Well said, I couldnāt agree more.
I would also add that even if you donāt spend money on gacha or microtransactions, these games still tend to be massive time sinks by forcing you to grind for in-game resources so you can get the characters or things that you play the game to collect, and theyāre deliberately designed to be such, so players would be more tempted to spend money to skip the grind.
Iām also speaking from experience as a gamer who had wasted a lot of time in two gacha or gacha-like games I was fixated in in the past, despite having never spent money on them. As an autistic person, I find gacha games dangerous to me because I cannot predict if a gacha game would end up being my fixations, and thus ending up wasting my time on them, so I refuse to play gacha games ever again.
Yeah the time sink aspect is huge too, another part of the strategy to encourage you to gamble. And unlike other games where grinding it out progresses the story or improves your skill or builds up your power level, the grind in gacha games is way more tedious (again by design) with little payoff other than getting the character you want.
I wrote about how I celebrated Lunar New Year in 2025:
yeah im the vilian in this story i took the post down completely.

If thatās the way you want to take this, then cool. Take some time to reflect on yourself and the space youāre choosing to interact with.
Haha, this is so accurate to sweden too, imo. People see it as some utopia and while most of us have it real good we are generally far from welcoming. All the points you make really rings true to how I and people around me are at least lol. Weāre notoriously introverted and it shows, lol. Students have the best chance of not feeling isolated afaik.
These are so adorable!! I love the vibes
of your art, itās very cute!!!
sorry this is turning into me looking at all the things Iāve missed, but !! I love articles about little pieces of history ā so cute and fun to read!!
Iāll be back to edit this with a response to those music questions, because why not? lol

I have two recents that are important to me!
the small web is rehabilitating how i write - revelatory to me, given that Iāve written for pay since I was 17. Really happy with the experience, though.
the encycloReadia project - a blog just for stuff on my quest to read the entire 2024 World Book. Iām only up to āaccountingā so far and can tell that becoming a walking Jeopardy! clue board will win me no friends unless I sequester that stuff somewhere people can opt in to reading it.
(PS: Aardwolves! neither aardvark nor wolf! actually a type of hyena, but insectivores and with more toes than other hyenas!)
This reminds me of a conversation I was reading on Tildes recently, where someone said theyād start a blog, but āI donāt have anything interesting to say.ā Another user immediately stepped up and said, āYou may think that, but you actually do. Everyone does.ā It was nice to see, especially in a place that isnāt explicitly āsmall webā centered (though I do realize Tildes in a bit off the beaten web path).
From a post I wrote in 2023:
So hereās my advice for you, if you want to start a blog. Firstly, be yourself. You are, by default, interesting. We all live different lives, we all have different interests, we all have different life stories. So be yourself, share what you find interesting to you.
I donāt have a lot going on, but I do try to update my stupid little blog daily with what is happening around me. Also theres an rss feed
Just in the past 4 days Iāve published a bunch of posts! Checkām outā¦

I wrote a blog entry about my grad school acceptance, and the absolute hell of the application cycle running concurrent with my brotherās life threatening accident. Rough read, but it ends on a positive note.
