These are some good tabs, it almost inspired me to do a post of my own but then I look at my tabs and itâs just a bunch of sad life admin stuff of trying to figure out how taxes work LOL.
RIP to your reddit account. I have had a lot of beloved accounts come and go over the years due to false positive spam reports or just carelessly losing my password or control of an email address and itâs sort of a micro-grief that piles up if you had anything sentimental in there.

If I were a politician, my entire pitch would go like: I am neither smart nor full enough of myself to claim to solve any of our big problem. Instead Iâm running on the single issue of terrible customer service phone trees. If elected, I will require businesses to provide a documented, transparent phone number that puts you in line to talk to an actual human.

The Weekly Wrap Up is posted! Links this week include a poetry request, human AI and an exhaustive accounting of snakes in films. I found a new group to write postcards for, received a postcard of my own and will be joining the 2nd Annual Small Web (Virtual) Potluck. Plus, as usual, I listened to, read and watched things.
I also dropped a post yesterday about Monsoon Season and share a few cool monsoon and haboob photos (not my photos, other peopleâs!)

I know at least two other people who were in Taiwan this past month, I really want to go. I love how you use footnotes horizontally, so much less eye strain!

I too, like @small_cypress, enjoy the right-sided footnotes. Might try building that in Hugo somehow⌠Thanks in advance for the inspiration! I thought the layout is a bit cramped though, so I made a few CSS changes in Inspect mode (section set width: 70ch and .sidenote change margin-right: -23vw) to give it slightly more breathing space:

Itâs one thing if you had posted that here on 32bit Cafe and the staff had said, âHey, that doesnât fit our vibe.â There are things I havenât shared here because I suspect they wouldnât fit.
But if some rando on Discord or some other social tries tries to âcall you outâ, I suggest reminding yourself of one fundamental fact: âYou donât answer to them. They are at most your equal.â Then you ought to block them. They arenât worth your time or attention, are they?

just as some context: this happened on the 32bit cafe server and wasnât really a call out at all and more just someone adding their opinion. i think the reaction is over exaggerated but câest la vie.
