Did some layperson research into atmospheric lightning science, it’s kinda crazy.

this is such a great post! the unexplainable awe and the more mundane practicality of science and nature is something that crosses my mind a lot. ball lightning was like my number one fear as a kid, especially when i heard that there was account of it going through objects. nightmare stuff for me as a kid because i was convinced it would come for me personally.

ive discovered a new sky-based fear in the pyrocumulonimbus, a huge cloud generated from heat from a fire (they were first sighted in France this year during the huge fires but seen around the world since forever). While this thing can be big enough to put out the fire itself, it can also strike lighting kilometers away and start new fires. And it has its own weather system.

You’ve gotten me hooked on On-Together. After you mentioned it in your previous blog post, I checked it out because I thought it sounded great. I ended up using it yesterday to work on my blog, and it was great! The people on the servers I visited were so nice and helpful, and it was the first time I used a Pomodoro timer, which worked really well for me! So thank you for the recommendation!

Also, your quilt looks beautiful!

Hello I’ve been away from this corner of the internet for the last couple of months but I am back :')

A blog post about playing D&D! Its actually not about the plot of the campaign nor really specific mechanics at all; it’s stats (because I love counting…) and my personal takeaways from the greater experience.

Blog post about being kind-of-not-really closeted at work and the strain of being a nonbinary person in public life :)

big hugs. my trans spouse is in the same situation with a extremely conservative employer and is fully closeted. I see my nonbinary coworker just get worn down by culture at large despite being a very trans-inclusive space from our coworkers (kids know they are Mx. B, which my stupid spellcheck won’t recognize and just autocorrected, referred to as “Miss Mix Bee”).

I read parts of your post to my wife and she said “it feels good to not be alone in it” through some heavy sighs. <3
