I worked on my blogs dark mode today, since the current colours are very light with black text. Itās a bit odd at first, but I am starting to like it. Decided to go for media query instead of the new light-dark feature, just in case it doesnāt work with old browsers (the css is also easier to read like that for me)
in the spirit of the better motherfucking website i reduced the max width of my blog posts so theyāre more easily readable on large screens (and i also posted a new blog post)
Iāve made some adjustments to my Recordshelf
For records that are original release, I am displaying the RELEASED date and the ADDED to my collection date.
For re-releases or re-issues, I am displaying the ORIGINAL RELEASE year (from the discogs master release), THIS PRESSING date, and the ADDED to my collection date.
Iāve also re-added my personal notes for each record as they were missing during the revamp.
Onto adding my beer data in a similar fashionā¦

And here we go, my Beer Fridge
I finally managed to redesign all of my (three) pages of my website, highlight my blog section and then I added a short post on it. The logo seems to be out of place with the new style, however.
This is awesome! I wish I could wrap my head around pixel letters :P
i made a few behind the scenes improvements to emmaās place
- the text in my header was an
<h1>
. i switched it to a<p>
element - iām using simple.css and tweaking it as i need. so iāve gotten better at getting my changes in their own stylesheet to better keep track of them
a more visible change is that i fleshed out the blog page a little bit since i wanted to write a post
i added 12 pages and a button to my plant id website! and a link to my weeds codejam page.
it has been three years since i last updated it, so it was well overdue. i totally forgot that i had a dozen links to 404 pages⦠oops⦠quite a cliffhanger. itās my way; i have WIP fanfics i havenāt updated in (checks) 6 and 9 years (nice ). iāll get to it when i get to it⦠slow n steady wins da raceā¦
I was playing with styling CSS today.
I have no idea if Iāll use it consistently or not, but it was fun making sticky notes, lined paper, and polaroids with CSS.
pretty basic, but i kinda rearranged my index page to put in some new webrings + updated my now page
added a ton of new links to my resources links page! still not finished combing through my bookmarks, but itās a good chunk :)
Converted my blog to a Bear Blog and Iām working on setting it up to a subdomain to link to. I think itāll be easier to update my blog regularly this way.
Those are excellent resources. What an incredibly useful page!
self indulgent but a new shrine for my favourite bleach character :]
Whatās a personal website for, if not self-indulgence?
I remade it but nothing new happened added from the last site. https://soulbox.neocities.org/
Oh god just realized this draft is roughly 2 months old! Gonna put this under a details tag.
old updates made in june
-
Iāve added a āalert bannerā to the index page since I realized that people looking at the current placeholder site wouldnāt know where the future site updates would be. Itās on the top of the page & includes a link to all the site updates.
- Itāll be removed a week after I make the update public.
- Also added some front matter thatāll make it easier to edit the page & the banner. (Added an if statement hehehe)
-
Tweaked how the date & word count looks on blogposts. (Uses American English.)
-
Started working on a character page for some of my OCs.
-
Made a test character to test out the potential of subpages.
-
Removed redundant tag on blogposts. (This applies to the blog page, blogposts, & the tag list.)
-
Added default icons for the character page.
-
Added svg icons to th archive minitags.
Got super distracted by artfight, might work on site this august.
Got a bit sick of my homepage. I like my notebook aesthetic, but having a closed notebook felt like a missed opportunity.
Did a big overhaul so the notebook is open by default, giving me two pages to play with. This gave me space to add feeds from my blog, art gallery, status updates and site gallery. Also updated my 404 page to use the closed notebook style.
(Oh ha, iāve just been reminded I still need to update my site preview image)
I crafted this last week, but since I finally announced it in my newsletter Iāll share it here. I finished another gallery for this year with gallery #2 being my Art Fight Gallery!
