🚧 What did you do to your website today?

It’s been a couple days, but I added a rock to my Miscellaneous collection section.

It’s a nice rock.

It took much longer than i’d care to admit, but i’ve added a gallery template to my website. Currently showing my digital illustrations.

(Best viewed on desktop as currently half my ā€˜notebook’ style layout does not get rendered on mobile!)

My plan was to set up a simple collection for some sketches i’m doing for @small_cypress’ a small web July but I actually had a lot of difficulty getting Statamic’s blueprints to work the way I needed.

However, finally, it works.. and all that time spent fighting with Statamic kept me off social mediašŸ˜…

Not shown here, that I also added, are pagination and the ability on the backend to choose how I want the grid to display: thumbnails, dates (days) or gallery index numbers. I plan to reuse this gallery setup for things like my sketches, ink drawings, cats etc so I wanted a lot of flexibility.

I haven’t decided yet where I want to link these collections on my site, and I plan to create feeds of them for anyone who’d like to follow my updates. Plenty to be getting on with this July😊

Very cool! I am so intimidated bt SSG’s but that’s my main goal for this month - to get one up and get a gallery going for some artwork. I love how you show resources/brushes/tutorials with each piece!

joined @hillhouse’s new little pixel library pixel clique and added a pixel clubs navigational page so i can start to join more without feeling like i’m overwhelming my navigation bar. :')

i’m going to try and participate in @small_cypress’s #smallwebjuly as much as i can by working on my personal site more and doing the fun little updates i like doing on my site again. :)

Oh that’s so cute!! I was going to make a little bookcase for my reading list, but with the spines facing out.. but this is even better. I’d definitely like to join this pixel clique and will definitely be thinking about how I want to present my book recommendations🄰

I love the little library cards toošŸ˜

I am trying to come up with a single page to host my cemetery photos (I have like 10 years worth of Victorian-era Southern family plot grave pix) with the new pixel graves I can’t stop making. Maybe it’s a museum and gift shop? Idk, more to come!

overhauled my site to not use a dark/light mode toggle and just rely on the prefers media… mostly so i could make space for a font toggle dropdown instead. also finally adding my oc’s genshin game kit to their page (it’s not done, but i technically already have it fully made on their fanon wiki page, it’s just moving it over)

Updated my HTML color map after a long time! It shows all the named HTML colors but in a 2D grid rather than a 1D list, so that similar colors are closer together. It was one of my first pages and not really one that gets updates, but with my site revamp I redid it and added the ability to copy color codes on click/tap!

Similarly, I also updated my rainbow palettes page, including a bunch of new rainbow palettes!

This is so great! I’m miserable at coming up with color schemes but I’d really like to add some color to my site (when I actually get back to rebuilding it :grimacing: ). This is just what I need.

I’m trying to learn more than I’m ready for now and being appropriately humbled, so now I’m playing with a few people’s layouts to learn some new things in CSS. Here’s a simple page for an abandoned church/graveyard I’ve visited, which will be part of a larger personal database.

made my art gallery page … it is nowhere near fully populated cause it’s … literally a decade’s worth of art i’m gonna have to comb through to find the non-doodles, but it’s a start (2025 art and some really, really old art from 2012 and earlier)

I really love being able to see folks earlier work and influences next to their current work. So many people hide anything more than a year or so old and it makes me so bummed.

Tweaked the cemetery site and added another small ā€œexhibitā€

IT DOES and it makes me sad, although i definitely cringe at some of my old stuff i’m also very sentimental about it so it’s why i wanna try to archive as much of it (and why it makes me sad i lost stuff from years ago, hell i even have some old comic i drew when i was 6 on napkins, and my old sketchbook from that age too. if it wasn’t so much work to take pictures i’d put them up too)
