I added a really basic landing page.
Okay so this was a long time coming. I finally made a JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure shrine…I was going to release this with every page in the upper nav finished, but I couldn’t wait anymore so you get autistic rambling shrine about the funny haha jojo reference show/manga early (sorry). I have been obsessed with Jojo for the last 4 fucking years and I needed to make this in order to keep some semblance of sanity.
this is what the personal web is for. share what you love, share what makes you, you
I’m updating my now page. Not quite done yet.
I tweaked the HTML and CSS for the section of my site dedicated to a Star Trek: Discovery re-watch. (Beware of spoilers beyond the linked page!!) I finally finished re-watching season 5 today and that felt like a great way to celebrate that show. I added a custom font, which fans of DISCO will recognise.
I really like how the monospace font looks for the body, and now I am tempted to replace Verdana/ sans-serif for monospace on the main part of my site as well.
Yesterday I found out how to make the last bullet point of a <ul> a different emoji than the rest of the list. I needed this for a few lists in this project. I found a tutorial for something similar, but had to change the code a bit. I took a guess and it worked. I felt like a master coder. ![]()
Beware of spoilers beyond “Spacedock” (the page I’m linking to above). I do not hold back in my comments. Spoilers are everywhere.
I am desperate for Masonry. I’m pretty disappointed in Google’s stance on this compared to Apple’s actually. It was fun watching the high profile dueling blog posts.
I decided to add photo posts to my archive page and “this month” links. Wrote about it (and some thoughts on my month-ish old redesign).
Updated my site!
Added a new library section that I’m excited to start filling up.
See my changelog for recent updates!
Woh! I really love the cool emojis-as-bullet-points thing you have going for the good and bad stuff about the episodes.
Not reading the contents of the reviews, because I’m not sure which Star Trek my partner wants to watch together, but just wanted to say I love the clean layout and how nicely laid out all the content is!
Yay, library section! The Neon Dystopia site is about to occupy my evening. ![]()
Also, your background image made me smile.
The Neon Dystopia site is about to occupy my evening.
I’m slooowly working my way through the classic movies. I’ve missed a lot!
Also, your background image made me smile.
Thank you! <3
Oh I really love the idea of having a site / site area dedicated to campaigns and campaign notes/stories!! I’m adding that to my to do list :D
Sending your site to my phone so I can slowly read through its contents!
Thank you. It is fun to do, and it is helpful for my players. Its also really fun to go back through it once a year and see all the crazy stuff they’ve done.
Thank you! I do enjoy a clean page. Though I am dreaming of a busy/ multi layered design for at least one page in the future. But I’ve got a lot to learn until I can make that happen.
Hmm… I just realised that the emoji bullet points are not visible on iOS. It seems it doesn’t understand the ::marker pseudo element I’m using. Any other people on iOS can confirm this?
Confirmed.
“Safari’s support for marker is limited to color and font-size”
Which is especially unfortunate given that all browsers on iOS use the same browser engine (WebKit).
Oh! I see. Bummer.
Thanks!
Yeah, maybe sometime Apple will remove the requirement, but the stipulation for allowing third-party browsers was that they could only add boilerplate functionality. Kind of lame, but understandable from a “we want to lock everything down” kind of way.
new project uploaded! i’m trying to make something every day, even if it is small or sucks. four days so far, party hard haha. built it on a very chopped-up zonelets.
also i removed the snow from the homepage since i’m sick of winter, haha.
These are amazing! I love them. ![]()
That background on “two” is fantastic. Love the colours, too.
Very neat stuff. I’m glad you’re making things! I love the latest college
