I built my Bookbug page over the past couple days and finished it late last night (technically this morning)! Iām waiting to hear back on if Iāve been accepted into the club, but thatās not going to stop me from reading and reviewing this monthās book :V
emmaās place has had some more changes. these are the first for the new year!
youāll definitely want to clear your cache for this update, a lot of it is appearance focused
- nav bar links have been condensed. the life of emma section has been made into two category pages. this is in anticipation of future pages that will fit into both categories. care has been put into navigation. visiting a page in the category allows you to return to the top of that page, and also return to the page that is a category containing that page and related pages
- the right border on the nav bar has been changed due to me figuring out me more and my borders being pride flag related
- iām in my pink era. so the page background color, and scrollbar colors have been updated. certain green colors have been left as they work fine i think
- iām using grid properties like
align-itemsandalign-contenton the body to better adjust the layout of the page rather than relying so much on the height of elements
there is some writing on the site that needs to be updated. but iāve done enough for now because my brain has rewarded me with a headache
Looking stylish so far. Keep at it once youāre feeling better.
I changed some css on the tidning-page. Now I use column-count rather than making the columns myself ā very convenient!! Iāve yet to change all the other pages but will be doing so as soon as possible. Especially the long form-page, since itās looking⦠some way or another atmā¦
In other news I have officially made a site for my friend and I :) Itās far from perfect (like if your screen is too tall it doesnāt function properly, for example) and has⦠nothing much on it as of yet. However, itās been made and Iām happy with it! The look I was going for was āalbum coverā ish and I think I nailed that actually :3
today I finally updated my site after several months of not doing anything. First i did some wireframes to figure what layout I want but right now Im just putting my site on nekowebs and Im trying to figure out how VS Studio is correctly reflecting what the site supposed to look like but nekowebs isnt? quite upsetting ![]()
If you want to start a thread in the help section with your siteās url and post full-size screenshots of how your site looks in VS vs Nekoweb, we might be able to help.
I made a big update to my old website version archive browser over the weekend. Previously it was just a list of links, itās pretty nice to see all the thumbnails now!

(Apologies for the lack of alt text, and other possible accessibility issues, still working on this!)
I had two different accounts at the same web host, one for my partner and one for me. Then the host changed around their account offerings and raised prices, which made having everything on one account the most economical option.
Today I started the process of moving everything over. One of my sites, which had been on my partnerās account for load-balancing purposes, was easy to move over. It was a subdomain at one account and now itās a subdomain at the other account. Since itās the same host I donāt even have to mess with any DNS settings.
My partnerās site is another matter, since itās the primary domain for the account I canāt remove it. The good news is they donāt really use it. So I can afford to cancel the account, wait for them to take it down, and then restore it.Then everything will be back up and running at its new home.
Iāve placed a bit of artwork on the bottom-right corner of my site whenever somebodyās using a screen thatās at least 1440px wide.
Anybody got a reason why I shouldnāt push this to my server?
Not me! I think itās kind of neat, actually, to have bits of the website look different depending on different configurations. Itās almost like having a layout seeecret!

I decided I want to do a bit more work on this. Iād like the image to have a border and caption, but thatās not feasible if I do it as a CSS background image. However, a <picture> wrapped in a <figure> with absolute positioning would give me what I want. So Iāve got a bit more work to do.
I ended up doing this instead:

I decided that it isnāt worth my time to create a custom preview card for every post, so they all get this one.
added support for changing the background and text colors for the FTS webring widget. now folks can slap whatever (non-hex) valid css color value into the text-color and bg-color query params in the url for the webringās <iframe>, and they can match the color palette of the webring to that of their site. i implemented it myself on my personal blog!
I made a little design for a webpage that Iām real proud of (I think Iām making real good progress with CSS ngl) and a complementary page for templates that anyone can use if they want to :3 I love when other pages have that, so Iām glad to have gotten into that kinda thing myself!!
saw i hadnāt updated my site since november, so just finished my late winter/spring layout that i think iāll have a while! :) itās definitely unicorn-coded.

Nothing visual, but I overhauled my sites folder structure, now all my images are actually organised in folders so I donāt have to squint and scroll through a bunch of files, though I do wish neocities had a slightly more robust file management system.
today i shifted blog to mataroa.blog and update uses page and added a post in rants/diary and now finding template cuz i wanna show my fav yt playlist or movies etc
btw if anyone have the resource or template of recommendations page send me a link of it. ![]()
Tonight I did something really nerdy - added a Change Log page to my skateboarding clips Jekyll blog.
I like this idea. I think Iām gonna do something like that .
i finally made a button and threw it up on my site :D
also put it in my signature thing cuz thatās fun
