to be fair, xbox series consoles use a fork of chromium edge so i wasnt even doubting it wont work. and yeah what the hell were java applets and why anyone thought they were a good idea?
If you think Java applets were bad, Iād like to remind you that ActiveX controls were a thing. At least Java wasnāt a Windows-only thing.

I actually did something on my site today! I got a new YouTooz Figure (Game Theory MatPat; heās adorable) so I did the photography for that and put him up on my figures page.

today i turned off my neocities profile (having my updates on feeds made me anxious and cranky) AND i dropped the whole homepage on the floor! ā¦not what i was planning to do when i sat down at the computer, but thatās how it goes sometimes.
i think itās funny. i was going to add a silly crashing sound effect autoplay, too, but i couldnāt find one that was exactly what i wanted.

Iāve made a new personal website, again. It started ages ago with me thinking about making a website with a splash page, then it spiralled after control after I started thinking about using my new site to host information, links etc. about films I like.
Further details about how/why are on the blog.
Itās pretty barebones at the moment, but hopefully Iāll be back in a week with more updates.
further wildly ambitious website plans
- I want to add a credits page with details about software, services etc used (I did lean on the 32bit Cafe directory for help!)
- I want to add shrines for films & TV Iām interested in, with lots and lots of links and some media like PDFs and MP3s. Kind of a data hoard of context and info and news coverage around films I like.
- I want to add a comprehensive links page with sections and details about each page, kind of like a scaled-down version of the punk pages on my other site.
- I want to give it a through going-over to improve the accessibility for disabled users. For example, text colour choices, navigation, sections and headings.
- Iām not fluent enough in Gaeilge to be bilingual, but I am going to try to make this website as functionally bilingual as possible, which should be an interesting challenge. At the moment I have two homepages in different languages, but shared bilingual pages for major content. Not sure whether to branch everything apart or to combine all the pages. But then I wouldnāt need a splash page anymore, and I do love having a splash pageā¦
