I am so excited! I’ve been planning a couple new sections to my site and I got one of them up today - Godzilla Chronicles.

My interest recently got piqued with Godzilla and I’ve decided to go on a journey of watching all the Godzilla movies and writing my thoughts of each one. Nothing in-depth because there are in-depth reviews all over the place. Also, a list of Godzilla links that I found while searching for Godzilla graphics which, sadly, seem to be in short supply.

i finished my itch.io bundle recommendations page overhaul! i changed the layout and structure and all the colors and reformatted the recommendations to have images and added a bunch of stuff since i’ve played a bunch more games since i last updated the page!

i think i want to add a fun cursor and fix the page to work better on mobile at some point, but i’m happy with it for now!

My current D&D campaign is set in the Mines of Moria from Lord of the Rings.

I’ve made a campaign website - for players and myself to check for information - and while that’s not of much interest to anybody else, I am very pleased with the website’s front door…

it does not work well on chrome for mobile; it’s mobile friendly on firefox, however ;)

I love it! (Forgot how to spell the password at first.)

I went back to Hugo  I liked 11ty a bunch but really love the Blowfish Hugo theme and am so comfortable with it. I created a new project from scratch and then copied some old posts over. Now my file structures are super clean and I’m so happy since it reflects who I am. I can now focus on adding more actual content. I still have my small blogs on Scribbles, while my site will be for more thought out articles. I really hope not to touch it again for another few months :joy:

I made some changes to my site’s layout for the first time in a bit! I wanted it to reflect the fact that I’m an artist a bit more, I think I’ll still be fiddling around with it a bit more but for now I’m super happy with it! (if the layout looks wonky at first, you might have to hard refresh, the different parts of the site like sidebar, etc. are meant to look kinda like paper!)

I often find myself screwing around with the tech stack more than writing. It’s always a relief when I get something out of the way and I can just write, no matter how terrible it is.

Looking good! I appreciate it works across screen sizes

Made my menu sticky, handy for long pages. Not sure yet if I’m sticking with it.

holy crap i have done so many things today. here is a list.

  • changed the font on all the systemwide ā€œdefault paletteā€ pages to astonpoliz for the body and neuropol for the headers. you can see this on the homepage.
  • changed the fonts on the shrines and prose piece pages. shrines: hausos + the axiom. prose: the stone flower + mr. and mrs. hope.
  • updated the sidebars on the systemwide default palette pages to be gradients.
  • updated the fonts on my own pages (i’m j). cranberry gin for body, relish gargler for headers.
  • updated my own sidebar to whatever the hell that pattern is.
  • deleted the art directory and links directory pages, instead replacing them with dropdown menus in the navbars.
  • added ms ice sandwich by mieko kawakami to the bookshelf.
  • added scott pilgrim vs the world and belle to the film library.

i need to sleep but i’m much happier with the site and hopefully when the others front they can do some fun stuff with fonts and more!

I’ve changed my stylesheet so that people visiting on a desktop or laptop see pride flag colors in the background. I’ll change this to something else at the end of June.

I got the CSS from barchok.com.

My website also has the beginning of a pure HTML literate GNU Emacs config that doesn’t use Org Mode or org-babel.

I generate the config with an ā€œemacsā€ target in my makefile.

emacs: site/grimoire/emacs/index.htm ## generate an emacs config file from HTML
	hxextract .elisp site/grimoire/emacs/index.htm | sed -e 's|<pre class="elisp">||g' -e 's|</pre>|\n\n|g' > site/assets/downloads/init.el.txt

hxextract is part of a set of CLI processing tools maintained by the W3C.

Finally got my neocities page up a few days ago with the ā€˜launch’ of my cat tribute page and now have a home page with some sections on it. There is very little content yet but at least the sections are on there. Figured out a bit of CSS grid yesterday for the layout.

This is so fun - my first personal website!

I really like the layout of your homepage. It is one I hadn’t yet considered when I tackle mine eventually. It was nice to see CSS Grid used as I still have to learn that myself.

Thank you! Yeah I hadn’t really planned it out and just focused on my goal which was to learn grid. Then realised this could work as a sort of magazine type layout with no need for further navigation. :slightly_smiling_face:
