I thought about doing an animated button because that’d be fun, but I often find it a bit too crazy when I stumble upon a whole button wall full of animations.

I’ve got an animated and non-animated version of my button. I tried to evoke an old film reel, but maybe it’s a bit too dull and monotone to properly represent my site.

I’ve got both a static/animated version of my button… I made it wayyyy back when my site first started, the aesthetic of my site has changed a lot since lol but I think it’s fine as is.
I’m still really proud of the animation work I did on it!!

Man, I had always noticed that some buttons looked ALOT nicer on some sites, but not others. I was reading this post I found while catching up on my Mastodon feed: Human made web button and, at the end, homie mentions the css image-rendering:pixelated; BRUH! Ofc it was code! My silly self always thought it was like “website lighting” (my shame 
). It never occurred to me to check the code; always check the code, yo!
For what it’s worth, I applied it to all of my button wall and ofc, it wasn’t perfect. Naturally, not all of my buttons were pixelated. But it does look 30% better imo. Including my button
