hello everyone!
if you’ve been paying attention today, we have a new category on the forum: Links Around the Web !
folks have been asking about this for a little bit (especially after sunsetting our linkshare platform). we’ve bit sitting on adding a linkshare section to the forum since we wanted to make sure and establish a forum culture before allowing folks to just drop links. keeping them in the Links Around the Web category will quarantine them for folks who don’t want to see it, and we’ll add tags over time as it gets more use for filtering and better link-finding.
the idea here is to have a place for folks to share websites, projects, pages, blog posts, and everything in-between from all over the web, even if it doesn’t fit into the forum categories. we’d love to see folks share sites rather than wring their hands over which category to put them in.
see a super neat personal website with an inspiring page? stumbled upon an indie browser game that you think folks would enjoy? read a blog entry about using the internet as art? if you think folks here would be interested, share away!
just create a new topic in Links Around the Web, drop the link into the topic title field, and discourse does the rest for you. feel free to jump in on topics to discuss the links themselves if something strikes your fancy!
