There is a certain type of guy who is really butthurt about not being able to sexually harass women anymore, and views me as the next best thing: a man (therefore not a legitimate victim) but also sort of cute, and feminine in ways that donât rise above the threshold of âactually a woman.â This is the type of guy who catcalls me on the subway, the type of guy who sexually assaulted me that one time, and the type of guy who thinks my dignity can be purchased with a $15 pen.
Unhinged behavior. Unhinged. What. The. Hell. I have no words.
Men really are out there thinking they can do whatever they want⌠Absolutely no words.
And about ârewardsâ: there really is never anything we get out of this situations. And unfortunately itâs better to rush to judgement than to regret it.
Sending good vibes your way.
I have published a new weekly recap post, featuring: International Womenâs Day, total lunar eclipse on the Lantern Festival, car accident on my way to school, and Eleventyâs rebrand.
The Weekly Wrap Up has been posted! Links this week include a look into womenâs clothing sizes and why nothing fits, an archive of all of the CIA World Factbook editions and a story of a beach find that turned out to be more than the finder expected. I have a kitty visitor again! There were some cross stitch woes this week. I went out to brunch with a friend and also checked out a new coffee place. Plus, as usual, I listened to, read and watched things.
Iâm so glad someone put up an archive for the CIA world factbook! When I first heard of its closing, I was only able to find a few versions, and they were from a few years back. I was worried all that info had been lost!
This year I am logging my main outfit I wore that day in my journals and finally started to draw them out. Iâm excited to see what the end of year recap will look like for those!
I have your weekly dose of tiara goodness and this time my theme was Aquamarine Tiaras for March. Not any old tiaras, though - you all know me by now. Theyâre all a little different!
I wrote an extremely niche tutorial for some of my lab work. BUT, it is the first time in my blog history where Iâve included dynamic calculators to illustrate things which I though was neat and wanted to share. I always think tutorials and explainers are nicer when there are little integrated calculators / widgets to explain things
Two things that happened recently because of the 32-Bit Cafe: I plucked up the courage to finally install Linux, and I remembered how awesome SimCity 3000 is!
Whatâs going on, 32-Bit Cafe? Dipping in to drop the latest life update ;)
I share the months bookmarks on these posts but thinking about splitting them out into their own link dump post - check this thread [Seeking Input] Linkdumping
Maybe donât write a spoiler as a header tho, even though it was after the spoiler warning, my eyes darted to it before reading the paragraph

Another funny thing about the gameâs political ideologies is that they all center about his ex-something and trying to get back to her. They met through Communism, so he tries to go back to that. She left him for (in his eyes) someone richer, so he tries to become a rich hypercapitalist. Fascism blames women, that oneâs easy. And he imagines her as the face of moralism.
Also, Jean outright states that this âgetting blackout drunk and becoming a master detectiveâ bit is something Harry has done several times. Itâs probably not quite as transformative as you put it lol.
Also - I havenât read the book youâre mentioning, but isnât âThe Nature Modelâ just the objective model but a little more roundabout? We now once more get to the question of âwhat is in someoneâs natureâ, and rather than searching for things that are âobjectively valuable to the community,â youâre looking for things that are âobjectively what you were made to do.â It implies thereâs a singular correct answer to be found.
Which, in itself is incredibly subjective right? Some argue that criminals are condemned to do what they do, because itâs in their nature. Others argue that much of crime is a result of societal pressures. Depending on who you ask, âsomeoneâs natureâ changes wholly and I am not sure any of them are right.
Either way I feel like it still doesnât answer the question that the other two models may answer unsatisfactorily, but atleast they do indeed answer.
Yeah, the nature model is something that I wish I could explain a little better. The distinction between the nature model and the objective model is that Rolandâs nature model explicitly recognizes that a humans nature is not static during their lifetime. While an objective model tries to rank against some objective value. I.e. Under an objective model, the same action will have equal value to all people regardless of who performs that action because that actionâs value is fixed. While a nature model says that the meaning is derived from your actions relationship with yourself.
It is a continuation on Satreâs existentialism, if that rings any bells for you.
In honesty, Iâve never studied philosophy formally (as itâs pretty clear for my writing) But itâs fun to LARP as a philosopher every now and then.
In late 2024, I was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa (RP) (and wrote and published an article on my website about living with RP). Recently, I saw a new eye doctor, who confirmed that my RP condition has reached advanced stage:
I did my first proper blog entry today, Im still learning but wow writing the content was so uplifting! Its about my experiences of arcades in the early 80s, I have to split it into parts as it will be a huge wall of text! Parts 2, 3 and more are comingâŚ
