What’s going on, Internet? What’d you do to your website today?
still january here but i’ve gotten deep in the hole with Color TCG on dreamwidth and hammering out the template that was made for neocities to host the game!!! … sadly it hasn’t been updated in years (though i saw on gloomlee’s site that they were doing another iteration back in 2025)
i’m pretty happy with how it came out, even though i’ve been trying my best to detangle the JS to optimize it
hah, this is all based on my time zone ![]()
I added a games section to my website today… ritual.sh | Games
I got rainbowclutter.net up and running for the first time since my NFSN account died the death.
There’s nothing actually there, but it’s up.
I have too many websites, but then again that’s part of the fun. These days I turned my attention to my old e-book guide that I hadn’t worked on in way too long. Updated information, a rewritten chapter and a brand-new one; all in a day’s work. Okay, two days.
Added a uses page to my site. I love seeing what other people use as part of their daily workflows, but I always wish I knew more about WHY people use what they use… so I made sure to add that info to my own iteration. ![]()
Edit: Also added a shot of my desk setup to that page!
Love this and the commentary about why you use what you do.
/unsolicited praise:
Your website is SO cool. Every time I visit I find something new to delight over. It’s such a joy ![]()
Thank you so much, that’s so kind of you to say! I’ve really enjoyed tinkering with the site these last few months.
My next addition will probably be a hobbies page with links to helpful resources and whatnot, as I find myself missing the ease with which I used to be able to find good information about various pastimes on the internet…
Agree - having context for a list of stuff or a list of links is something I really appreciate and value on a website.
I finished the mammals and fish section to the pets & plants page I started months ago. These will be in an iframe so they won’t be so wide. Getting there! I like combining my own pets’ stories and photos with care guides and resources
I’ve decided to add a page linked in my header that explains my stance on AI. I’m not sure if it will really change anyone’s mind, but I figure some will want to know whether or not to engage if they have a “no AI/LLM’s” stance.
Ok I finally updated my whole pets and plants section! This took way too long! Yay iframes lol
finished making the “display cabinet” on my home page!! also added a “scrap drawer” sub-site to put less organized quick posts and notes in. semi-related to both: did some digging on the “get your hand out of my cookie jar” lion cookie jar and made some notes about it
not many updates lately because ive been doing other things but i made a little rss feed for my gdl fansite. i hope it works lol
Finished rebuilding the entire thing!
I’ve had a static website for a small writing project I’m with going, and slowly that site ballooned to the size that the static site generator I was using was coughing up a lung whenever I compiled it. So I decided to bite the bullet and recreate the functionality in rust.
First time I have a proper dynamic website up, with sql and s3 and the whole shebang. It was a colossal headache to learn how this all works, but I’m really proud of myself for getting this going.
I looked at this section yesterday and made a mental note to come back to it; I really love this little showcase! Your gecko is adorable.
I reworked my about page and added a /now and /uses ![]()
