A museum exhibition that makes the abstract world of software development visible. Could it be?

For one reason or another, I’m unconvinced.

I do the same, it doesn’t need to be any more complicated than this @humanfinny

example

Music/ArtistName/AlbumName/TrackNumber - TrackName.ext

for various artists

/Music/Various Artists/Guardians Of The Galaxy - Awesome Mix Vol. 1/01 - Hooked On A Feeling.mp3

Just make sure your tagging is in order and you’ll be sweet!

I decided to finish up the month’s tiara postings with Amethyst Tiaras for February. And you all know me and my tiara postings by now - these aren’t any old boring diamond and amethyst tiaras (yawn … snooze … there are so many!). These 5 tiaras are a little bit different.

Here we go - refreshing my phone to get some more use out of it

I haven’t yet commited to the clean install - soon!

I finally got around to my submission for this months Indie Web Carnival, Intersecting Interests.

My websites name is dedicated to the intersection of two of my interests, so I used it as an excuse for a retrospective and to talk about some of my writing philosphy.

Satisfying read! Third party repair all the way. Had an issue kind of similar with my latest last year.

I actually have only owned 2, sort of 3 smartphones in my entire life. I got a super used Alcatel that was my dad’s before in about 2010/2011, that was my first smartphone ever as I had a flip before that. It died pretty fast and I got my own very first smartphone ever in 2013 for New Year’s, a LG G-Flex. The one that’s bent for no reason (I heard endless jokes about whether I sat on it or not…). It survived high school and uni but yeah, shit battery life and insanely slow, so I replaced it in 2020 (also for New Year’s!).

Now I have a Xiaomi Mix 3 with the stupid slidey-camera feature that serves no purpose except when I show it off to people to wow them for half a second. It’s screen totally died but I had it replaced for under 100 euro which was pretty nice, now its almost like new. Im trying to make it last too, hopefully beating my old record of 7-8 years and pushing this one to 10 years!

I hope you get those few more years, I honestly think it’s the best way and nothing annoys me more than having to get a new phone but I guess sometimes in unavoidable.

Thank you! You have inspired me to look up some local repair places for my own phone this weekend (iPhone 11 pro max - going on 6 years now) for the back glass and getting that battery replaced while I’m at it since I’m at 72%. TBH I had been debating on if I wanted to pull a trigger on a newer model for better performance but I also don’t want to spend money on a new one.

ooh i didn’t know there was a section for battery health in iphone settings! my battery’s maximum capacity is at 83% which would explain a lot. maybe i should look into repair shops sometime soon… shopping for a new smart phone sounds like my personal hell on earth

ā€œWow, that is just a bag, is what that is.ā€

I ran across one too many contemptuous comments on youtube and had to Say My Piece.

This is the first I’m hearing about the ā€œanalog bagā€ trend, so I guess that’s what I get for not being on TikTok. As far as trends go, not a bad one, I guess. I’m glad people are finding ways to enjoy their time without doomscrolling!

@folkmoss I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying your Boox Palma, as I’ve had my eye on that model for a while. I’m really hesitant to pull the trigger on it because I feel like my Kindle Paperwhite has just a liiiiiiiitle bit more life in it, and for everything else I’ve got MoonReader+ on my phone, but maybe someday…

I didn’t realize analog bags were a current trend, but for some reason I drew/posted a what’s in my bag thing too.

Some of my favorite posts recently:

feb 23 - acnh post 2 - I spent the previous weekend just playing animal crossing and took some screenshots
feb 24 - 2026 journal post 3 - february recap (wordy!!) - sharing pictures of my journal spreads, and talking about what’s working/not working for me with my analog systems. also at the end I talk about my other tools
feb 26 - kaban no naka (what’s in my bag) - i draw this (and myself) every couple of years and decided to draw my current carry. for fun i looked up how long I’ve had each item, and also linked some previous ones I did (2017, 2013, 2012)

I hid Cookie Clicker from my steam library upon realizing i was wasting too much time on it.

Today I caved and reinstalled it.

It doesn’t work on Linux.

A blessing in disguise lol.

Hey, I also hope that nothing happens on the day of your trip too! A trip to the US is super expensive (at least from where I live), so here’s hoping you make it.

Oh yeah it was super expensive for me too. I’ll probably get a refund if my flight is cancelled but like. man

also I would like to note, in the 2 hours since I posted that blogpost I’ve walked in and out of the bomb shelter another 4 times. getting that glute workout walking up and down the stairs I swear to god.

Jesus! :upside_down_face:

Hopefully it’ll be just for precaution. Can’t imagine the stress it must be too. I follow the news from afar (learned the hard way that’s better for me) and just reading about it stresses me tf out.

My rewind for February is up! I take a look back at the blog posts I wrote this month and the other new additions I made to my site, such as my /uses page and my /hobbies page. New recommendations this month include: Pluribus (TV), A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (TV), and Cult of the Lamb (Video Games).

I hope so too; there’s not really much need to upgrade, as the phone does enough of what it needs to do. The camera is still fine. The battery refresh has helped speed up in places, and I’m sure the reset will do the rest.

72% to 100% will be a huge improvement. Go for it!

From what I understand from reading up on this, as the battery health lowers, the phone will start throttling itself which leads to the perception of slowness.
