If I did it monthly I’d never remember anything that happened anyway :P

Ended up getting it out!

I left my windowsill open for a few hours and left some food on both the windowsill and the neighboring room. After about two hours I heard some loud flapping noises - the bird entered my house!

I opened the door to the balcony and slowly walked behind it so it’d walk towards the Great Outdoors. And it ended up flying out! Well, smacking its head in the glass door a few times and then flying out.

A banner generator you say….

oh, you saw that did you :stuck_out_tongue:

The cafĆ© was down when I wrote this yesterday, but I wrote about how you actually don’t need to give up capitalism out of fear of communism/socialism to take down bad guys (billionaires), if that’s what’s stopping you from doing so.

Not really something most of you here need to read, but I’m sharing it anyway!

Started working through some of my draft blog posts to get stuff out… first dev blog about a cozy fishing game I am working on

This resulted in 2 more draft posts, so this isn’t a net gain…

I know that feeling of never ending drafts spawning more drafts

One of my greatest fears is that I will somehow accidentally move all of my MANY draft posts into my live folder. :slightly_smiling_face:

Every time I come to these threads I end up opening a dozen tabs, then realising I’ve already read most of the posts via RSS feeds :joy:

I finally finished one of several drafts I’ve been procrastinating on, writing up a bit more about the ā€œnodā€ button I added to my site last month:

I usually do tiara posts every other week but I was feeling in need of some sparkle so here’s a surprise tiara post all about the haute joaillerie tiaras from Parisian jewelry designer Lydia Courteille. Plus, a bonus ring at the end!

Yippie! :leaf_fluttering_in_wind::birthday_cake::sheaf_of_rice:

I’ve made two blog posts recently; a very short one about a Windows function I figured out recently, and a looooong post about my Luanti builds:

I’ve been having some trouble with feeling useful at work, so I wrote about it.

This is a loose response to Matthias Ott’s recently-posted Webspace Invaders article. I’ve talked here previously about my concerns over full text RSS feeds possibly definitely being scraped by generative AI companies. I’m still very concerned and irritated about this, especially as bot activity on my website continues to rise every day.

Is it even possible to thwart RSS data thieves without disturbing legitimate human use of RSS feeds? I’m beginning to think the answer is no, and I just have to vent about that a bit…

Reminds me of a recent pluralistic article where he says ā€œthe optimal amount of fraud is non-zeroā€, meaning there’s a point where the harm being prevented from bad actors will be less than the amount of harm being done to good actors, and that point will happen before you’ve gotten rid of all fraud.
