Added Queer Zest Zine Fest~ This year is over I think, but they have recordings of workshops on their YouTube account and I imagine/hope they’ll be back next year!

Are the zines in the “individual” section supposed to be literally like a single individual zine? Or meaning made by a single individual? Or just one particular project, possibly with multiple issues?

I’ve updated the list substantially, but I wasn’t quite sure where to file stuff. If “individual” means a specific singular title with no issues, then most of them need to be recategorized.

And perhaps some more categories would be appropriate? Most of what I added is political and rather overwhelms the digital culture, DIY, perzines, etc.

it was for both single standalone zines (like manatee’s “welcome to the personal web”) and multi-issue zines that are a single “publication” (like cheapcore talkies) which are by a single creator! i wanted some way to separate those projects from zine libraries and multi-contributor anthology type things, which were the majority of the links i initially collected.

hmmmm, that might be a good idea, although i’m not sure the best way to go about it; some of the zine collections are pretty broad and not really sortable into a theme or genre or topic category :thinking2: the discourse-forum-wiki format is a bit limiting on the organizing front! there are a lot of politics zines and not that many on any other single theme/topic, but it’d feel weird to just have one “political zines” list separate from everything else (esp since that would imply that the other zines arent political…)

if the way things are organized now is confusing/inconvenient/etc, please do feel free to change it to be more intuitive or tidy (@ everybody). this was my best effort at organizing the links, so i do not have a better idea besides “a separate website with tag filtering and tabs and such” haha.

Cool, in that case I think I had roughly the right idea and did alright with my sorting!

Heh, yeah, that actually is a pet peeve of mine as a firm adherent of the “personal = political” school of thought, but I guess I’ve gotten used to other people being annoyed by me being “political”.

Word, yeah I guess it’s kinda tricky in a list format. It’s not super long or hard to parse or anything anyway, so no need to overcomplicate things.
