I’ve got big plans for my website this week, but in the meantime I made a website for my stop motion animation projects.
I just used a template for the look and feel, but I tweaked it to support multiple post types so that I can choose video, articles and links on the backend and it will show the correct fields.
I’m on a roll this winter, and it’s only starting. After getting a better idea of what websites I actually visit all the time, I trimmed down my start page accordingly. Some of the removed stuff ended up on my list of web resources instead. In turn, some links from there found a better home in my weird web directory. Convoluted, but effective!
I finally went through and rearranged my Pixel Art and Pixel Clubs pages, and I think they look much better now. Before, they were kind of vomitted on to the page, but now they look a little more thought out. Plus, I finally added a few more pieces of artwork that I’ve done since the last update.
I hope to go through soon and make a few other pages more visually pleasing and easier to look through in the same way.
It is old! From all the way back in 2007, when finding a good one wasn’t so easy, especially on a small budget. Kept meaning to get rid of it, but it still works and proves useful now and then.
I just put up a new layout I’ve been working on for freakin’ months at this point. Would very much appreciate y’all letting me know if there’s anything broken!
EDIT: Apologies if you’re using Edge. The icons aren’t working and they’re kind of important for navigation. I’m working on fixing it now.
I’m really sorry, but on mobile I’m seeing a pretty severe issue with your homepage. It’s like the scrollable area on the left and planner cover on the right are both fighting for space, resulting in very rapid flickering that’s potentially harmful
This happens on my iPhone in both Safari and Chrome. It doesn’t happen at all when I rotate my phone into landscape mode, and the rest of your site seems fine in portrait and landscape orientations once I unlock the planner. It must be something about the layout used for the mobile breakpoint on that particular page.
Otherwise, your site looks really good!!
EDIT: just checked on desktop and the issue occurs whenever the viewport is less than 610px wide.
Don’t be sorry! It’s always good to know when something is broken.
The planner cover shouldn’t be visible at all in mobile. It’s not even included in the HTML for the mobile theme! So I have to assume it’s an issue with the UA switch. I unfortunately cannot replicate the issue, but I will look into it!
EDIT: I think I have solved the issue. You may need to clear your cache, but it’d be awesome if you could let me know if it has stopped flashing and is only displaying the letter.
first update in like… 3 months, woo! i completely redid my anime figure gallery using Melon’s Gallery Maker, and im really pleased with the result! i may need to resize some things to look nice on a 1920 x 1080 viewport (since my laptop is … not that resolution lol), but for now i like what i did with it!
ough!! that’s so cool to read through!! might be an inspiration as well to think into a little digital page for what i try to use to organize.. morning pages have always been a cool concept to me even though i haven’t had a chance to put it in practice yet :]
please do! would be cool for something like /systems or /practices become something like a /now or /uses page, I love seeing how other ppl keep their heads on straight
lol i am a lil nervous but i finally got my hosting up and running, soo i uploaded a chopped and screwed version of this system.css framework that i heavily altered so that i could make it cute and retro-looking.
Looks great! I really love the dynamic pixel art background.
Just an FYI though, that link leads to the site’s unstyled index directory. I had to click on main.html to see the site as you’ve intended for it to be seen.
