December 2025 Website Updates: What did you do to your website today?

What’s going on, Internet? What did you do to your website today?

I actually did this a few days ago, but wanted to avoid posting too often. Finally tied together a few pages brought in from elsewhere into a new web design section on my site. It’s angrier and less positive than the rest, sorry. But it seemed to be a good fit.

I updated my Recordshelf with the five latest editions this month - took advantage of some 20% deals and a beautiful re-issue of the D12 album direct from Interscope.

Been thinking about how to bring my vinyl collection more into my website, words, video, etc.

Yesterday, so not technically December, but I added a CRT filter that can be switched on and off from on my blog.

I’ve been updating my Sims1 shrine with links and I finally added links to some of my own custom content:

I’ve been playing the game again, so you could probably say it’s my current fixation, lol.

ough not updated in a while … i actually re-gutted my entire site code to basically write from semi-scratch and clean up a lot of garbage CSS and HTML. apperance-wise pretty much the same outside of some minor visual tweaks. i figured out how to get a gif toggle to work even with my background-image pixel gifs!!! i still need to do it for a few others (my stamps/blinkees) but that’s later

otherwise back to updating my minecraft forever world, and other minor things like my now pages and eventually needing to finish my website unpacking

Removed Bluesky link from my about page as I am leaving the platform by the end of this month (more details on my feelings about that platform will be shared in the upcoming website update post).

I added @sunpop’s PBS button to my buttons page, and linked it to the PBS Foundation.

I added a /interests page, and rejigged my about page to refer to it instead of trying to shoehorn lots of information in a small space.

I’d been meaning to change the about page for a while. It had a popover effect that was kinda cool, but broke horribly on phones or other small screens. I didn’t know what to do with it, though. Then this weird little chain of events happened:

Funny how I was three steps in a link-following rabbit hole, but every step along the way was someone who’s on 32bit cafe! And it gave me the perfect answer to my problem!

Oh, apparently my Christmas theming has engaged as well. I didn’t really do that recently, though, it just turned itself on.

Your Minecraft builds sound so fun! I haven’t played Minecraft in a looong time. I played the original back in the day and later a community I was in had a shared world where we had a village. I briefly created my own server a few years ago, and experimented with a family member, but so much had changed and we never really made it a regular thing. I’m tempted to give it another try. The idea of creating my own village and discovering new biomes sounds really cool :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I’ve been working on breaking up some of my old novels into separate pages per chapters, with navigation. Of course, that also requires a skip nav link.
