This sounds so cool and I loved reading about it! Is it an online event?
Yes! The show was run in association with Narrascope, this year- my brother mentioned the ticket was included in the conference’s ticket price. It’s all displayed in the browser, and you interact with the testing phase like old flash games through clicking around: and movement in the ASCII maze component is handled with the arrow keys. Apparently it’s run on a bespoke system the two devs cooked up. Thanks for reading- I had a really great time at the event. (Shout out Rats 1, 5, and 11, lol.)
Finally had a chance to join the IndieWeb Carnival!
This is awesome, I love your blog’s simple design.
I was chatting this week with a colleague about how she spent the three day weekend and she was like “I want to this insane bachelorette weekend and stayed out until 6am, it was awful, how about you?” And I was like uhh… we went bowling?
Huh, I clicked to buy tickets and it gave me an error. Is this the sort of thing where you have to coordinate to buy tickets with a group? Or can you just buy one for yourself and join whoever is online?
I like that you actually quoted a passage of the book to show the tone you were talking about! I think a lot of book reviews try to say something “new” about the book, or just list out a zillion books the author liked, and hence tend not to have longer quotes like this, but it gives a much better sense of what the writing is like.
I think they’re still in the limited run of performances stage- as there’s a live component, it’s not something that’s always available. I’m unsure of when their next performance of the piece would be, but there’s an email here that’s listed as being for inquiring about a waiting list- might be a good place to reach out if you’re interested! Or they have a Discord, and they’re pretty responsive in there.
I wrote about Star Trek again. This time about alpha canon, beta canon, and head canon, and that what happens on screen is not all there is. Valid for every other fictional story universe as well.
I got ruined after playing a game with such quality that all other games probably will feel empty and numb.
Thank you so much! I’ll keep that in mind for future blog posts. I tend to highlight passages A LOT so it makes sense to share some of those more often, like I did here.
Edit: I just took a look at your site, the design is so simple and pleasant to look at. I’m going to lurk your posts a bit haha.
Play it again!!!
Low or high honor playthrough, 100% playthrough, achievement hunting playthrough, exploring absolutely everything and finding all the easter eggs playthrough, etc. All great options. ![]()
Having a whinge about the waterfall of bad luck I had yesterday.
Not exactly the point of your post (which is a good post!), but I really appreciate it when someone acknowledges COVID these days. That (plus my disabilities) are why I have to find community online.
Thank you, really glad you enjoyed it!
@rina I really like your blog post about being online alot. I spend a lot of time online due to health issues and my life would be more boring and isolated without it.
@DivergentRays I really love your crossstitch with the lava-cat-lamp.
@Leilukin So glad you got your water back!
