Oh man OK, monster trucks show is one of the childhood experiences I missed out on and always thought it would be fun/silly to go as an adult. Good to know there is a range of quality!

Sweet Caroline is obligatory, as someone coming up on a 2 yr anniversary from my own southern wedding (under the moss and live oaks, the works). And I feel the same re: Substack. The Nazi problem (the Substack app was sending swastika notifications) is real, but I understand why writers who depend on it for a living find it the current most functional platform for gaining an audience and making money writing. Most of the authors I follow have switched to ButtonDown or Ghost, but a few are still on Substack and I follow them via RSS.

I would take it that the show we got down here at the bottom of the world pales in comparison to a show that would be put on in the States.
