aww thank you so much!!! it means a lot to hear ^_^
i got inspired from watching other packing lunches and thought itād be a good opportunity to both get one and document it; iām completely the same with loving to see what other people make and capturing interesting meals i have (usually outside of the house since we just do european home cooking otherwise :P)
Leaving aside the fact that nobody should have to take out loans to get an education in the first place, I donāt blame you at all for leaving NZ and not paying.
I have been writing about my sewing machine adventures and some small projects I did on my blog last week: More Bernina and Sewing Log #2. Now that I have two of the same sewing machine, I feel like I should learn to use it better and take good care of it, maybe even repairs. But that is for the future.
I did kind of want to tell them theyāre all bootlickers for being so pro-arresting people for something we should have all gotten for free, but I didnāt really want to kick that nest.
Thatās perfectly fair. I donāt talk shit to Feds at the airport, either. Nor do I talk shit to Johnny Law when I get pulled over. White cishet male privilege doesnāt make me bulletproof.
How exciting to finally meet Bak Baanās puppies! Will your family be keeping all of them? If I remember correctly, Bak Baan was named after a mahjong tile - are any of the puppies also named after mahjong tiles?
Currently, my parents and I have no plans for adopting another dog. That said, my uncle is open for giving some of the puppies for adoption provided there is someone interested.
Correct, Bak Baan was named after a mahjong tile, so was our dog Yat Tong. None of the puppies were named after mahjong tiles though; instead, my uncle named some of them after different varieties of durians, such as Musang King and Black Thorn.
Iāve been publishing a lot of narrative and story posts lately, so if you like more creative writing and less opinions, for now, anyway, check out all my recent posts here
I couldnāt sleep last night so I wrote a blog post about my latest hobby, which many of you in the discord already know because I canāt shut up about it, is American Girl dolls, lol.
What the heck, Skye Sweetnam performed the theme to the Disney cartoon The Buzz on Maggie. I recognized that name immediately because the song was such a fun, positive earworm.
i watched a video about american girl last year and itās really made me want one because of all the care put into the period-accurate accessories etc. unfortunately they arenāt sold here and while i understand why (theyre called american girl after all) it makes finding one for a reasonable price basically impossible since the people who went through the trouble of getting some are collectors and are very much aware of how much they can sell them for. i have been thinking of buying a similar-sized doll and seeing what i can do with her but i kinda worry about buying a doll and not connecting to her enough to make it worth making all the little clothes and accessories sheād need
Yeah, I can imagine getting a hold of them when youāre not in the States can be difficult, unfortunately. We have a few other brands of 18-inch dolls here (two of which that I know of are sold in major stores) but I think American Girl is by far the best quality. I know I prefer their facemolds to other brands. Most other 18-inch dolls are a bit too uncanny valley for me.
I hope youāre able to find something you like even if you canāt find an American Girl, though! The clothes and accessories are honestly half the fun at least.
