Itâs been three months since Iâve been at a level of angry that even allowed me to write about how angry I am.

I have been desperate for heat and sunshine all summer. We had two nice hot, sunny weeks in July (didnât hit 30 degrees, though, mostly hovered in the high 20s), but it has been overcast, cool, foggy, and drizzly the rest of the time⌠Iâm experiencing my usual winter SAD symptoms in August, which is insane to me. They usually only kick in towards the end of September or early October.
Climate change truly sucks. Our summers are always pretty mediocre and we never get spring (we basically go from âslightly less cold winterâ in May to âoh, I guess itâs summer nowâ in June), but this year has been especially miserable for me. Probably has something to do with changing ocean currents caused by the extreme heat in other areas of the world.
This month, Iâve been participating in Blaugust with a theme of âA to Z of Pythonâ where I share one thing from Python programming world that matches the letter.
So far, Iâve covered from A to Q and will finish the rest of the letters before the end of the month.
I wrote a page on my science fiction reading site about the minimalist gear and the software I use to create the little mini-podcast there.
I think this snapshot of a very specific part of my past is the best thing Iâve written in a good while. Idk what you call it, creative nonfiction or something.

I stumbled upon an old website that I had made. This was almost certainly my first âprofessionalâ website, and I believe I made it in the year 2000 when I was sixteen.

Nice concert writeup! As someone who lives in a place that good bands never visit, I am SO jealous that you got to see Beach Bunny AND The Beths together. 
This weekâs tiara offering is the Caldwell Tiara, which was brought to the Antiques Roadshow and has a pretty interesting history! As an interesting tiara tidbit extra, I included a short video of from a different Antiques Roadshow episode of someone who brought her box of tiaras to the Roadshow. Not only that but she is actually wearing a tiara, too!

When I read âbone shipsâ I was thinking just some small ship carved from a piece of bone, like a small something would be whittled from wood. But oh my gosh! Those ships are wild!
I wrote a short explainer on the Food Chain of a career in Academia (in Australia), because I had no idea how it worked before I started and none of my family know wtf I am talking about
Considering how much I love Canada from afar, Iâd absolutely take you up on that if it were possible!
But then Iâd miss out on Canadian winters, which is part of why I have such a fondness for Canada.
