📝 April 2026 Blogroll: Share your blog posts!

What’s going on, Internet? What’s the latest on your blog? Share it here!

My latest monthly rewind is up! Included are links to my March blog posts, as well as a new recommendation (Maxis’ 2024 port of SimCity 3000 on Steam), and some new bookmarks. I also briefly discuss the reason why I’ve removed links to my Bluesky account from my website, and vaguely allude to my latest anti-scraping efforts.

Ooo, love that LibraryReads link and it was timely! Just finished a book and looking for my next read.

you scared me for like 5 seconds

You might think it’s a joke, given today’s date, but no, there are seriously 2 haute joaillerie (fancy-ass) Hello Kitty Tiaras that exist in the world!

This was brilliant.. but also very scary. As soon as I saw the post title, I had a little internal scream

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced

This is super inspiring, may I add you on LinkedIn?

I debated sharing this one here because it’s hot button and likely offensive, but take that as a content warning and don’t click through if you don’t want to read negative opinions on religion.

I think you’re giving a little too much to Christianity here.

It’s true that nowadays evangelicals are the ones most invested in helping israel from the US (christians united for israel is significantly larger than AIPAC, the jewish lobby), but that’s true in the modern day and in the context of the US (as far as I know). If we look historically, the USSR (famously against religion) were actually the first world power to give backing to Israel because the second wave Zionists were mostly communists and established communes in the country. The US only joined about 8 years later.

Pinning the issues in Israel as resulting out of religion that is “not Judaism” kinda removes responsibility from the thousands of true-blue Jewish bastards who’ve contributed to this mess. placing them merely as puppets for someone else. I’m sure it wasn’t your intention to absolve them, but I see it a lot in regards to israel and palestine: people describing the actions of the culpable here as if they were merely vessels for some greater ethereal power.

By doing so, you remove the culpability of people like Meir Kahane, an american radical right-winger who wanted to turn Israel into an authoritarian theocracy, and whose followers opened fire in mosques and recently legalized the death penalty by hanging towards palestineans.

Thank you for this! You’re right. That last line was very much not meant to absolve any shitty Jewish people, but I could see why it came off like that.

I added a little edit note with credit to you/this post.

The latest addition to the arcade blog piece!

Part 5 of into the arcade

Loving this arcade series! When I go to the retro arcade places I seek out Frogger, Ms Pac-Man, Tempest and Burgertime, which I love but can’t get past level 3 on. Most retro places will have at least the first 3. Games that I don’t often find out in the wild but am excited when I do: KickMan, Qix, Tapper.

The Weekly Wrap Up is posted! Links this week include slime mold macrophotography, a font based on gerrymandering and the ins and outs (mostly outs, to be honest) of poop. I’m sad about the loss of internet history with Lycos letting Angelfire and Tripod die. I saved a little on my own but so much is just gone. Link Lagniappe is going strong! Plus, as usual, I listened to, read and watched things.
