Added a new shrine (American Girl!) and updated all my other shrines with music to have non-autoplay audio players at the top instead of autoplay music videos at the bottom of the page. ![]()
I’m finally learning 11ty so I can stop worrying about making my site too big and having to update headers and footers for every page.
Did a tonne of work on the homepage of the first web shrine I’ve ever worked on. To be honest I think it looks so good that I’m worried the rest of my website looks boring in comparison lol.
finally bought my own domain name https://therift.vip/
Nothing, technically, but I had a breakthrough about organising it, which has been my biggest obstacle with finishing a first version and putting it online.
I started a WIP shrine for Animal Crossing Pocket Camp! Animal Crossing Pocket Camp - a fanpage
I want to showcase all my builds in the game, the phone will show photos and they might link to different notebook pages I’m not sure of the navigation yet. But I’m digging the idea. :)
the layout is really cute im excited to see what you do with it! animal crossing is oneof my fave gamesss
For my Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic shrine, I added a guide for using KotOR SaveGame Editor on Linux, especially with Steam’s Linux port of KotOR 2:
figured out a nicer quote randomizer and a way to regenerate quotes, and made one for my oc’s page as well + updated my home page with it … but that means migrating 30+ quotes to the new format which will be. something ![]()
i gotta figure out a way to not show the previous quote again but my brain is mush at 2am to unpack the answers i found
several updates over the past few days:
- moved isopals to its own subdomain and gave it a brand new appearance (i already edited the link in the ressource masterlist dont worry)
- removed the chatbox that was on my home page because i didnt feel like i was really getting anything worthwhile out of it? yeah getting a “woah” message in there from time to time was nice but a lot of the time people were using it for memes/inside jokes instead and i think id rather have people only use the guestbook
- updated an old old page titled “special media”. its a collection of movies, books, art pieces,… that i find to be particularly striking be it in their meaning, their visuals or just a specific Vibe that impacted me. i didnt ever really feel like doing proper reviews/explanations for all of these and i think i prefer just listing them and letting people discover new things kind of “randomly” and forming their own opinions instead of being influenced by mine
- made a button for gdland and started working on an about page for it. i also picked out some nice fonts to use on it (the h2 font might chnage because im a bit unsure about it)
I had no ideal about isopals, it’s so cool! And I love the idea for a special media page… ngl I kind of want to do something like that now haha.
you should make a page like that too!! i would love to see it
today i gave myself psychic damage by going on my 2019 neocities grab a bit of code that makes draggable/closeable post-its
so much duplicate css on there and FOUR versions of jquery. scary stuff.
anyway my home page now has some little photos you can drag around by holding the “caption” under each of them. thank you old torchwood website for uploading those images as characters’ personal photos
new button!!! i caved to make an oc centric button for my site, since my other one was just made as a ‘technical’ placeholder

if someone, for whatever reason thinks to themsleves lets execute irm riri.my | iex this is totally a good idea, they will get this warning
Ah this is brilliant! I couldn’t see it on my phone last night - didn’t expect to and that makes sense - so it was absolutely worth the wait to see this on my laptop this morning ![]()
yeaaah i figured addng even more images on a tiny screen would be really annoying so i made them hidden. im glad you like them :-)
i finally got my hands on the correct version i wanted to use so i changed it
I added a page for themes, and I added my first Neocities theme! I need to thank everyone in the discord and everyone here too for a lot of help getting this and my other websites looking good. :D
I’m excited though, I want to make more themes! An excuse to code! hehe
moving daaaay. my public domain gallery has been moved to its own neocities page; images are a bit less crunchy & i have freed up a big chunk of my storage. yippee
