what are some fun ways to incorporate sound effects and short audio clips?

i recently downloaded a clip art cd (as i do sometimes) and to my delight it came with sound effects and music! the music is mostly about 20-30 seconds long.
i think it’s all very fun and kitschy and want to do something with them, but i’m not sure what! some of the music works okay as a loop, but a bunch of it fades out at the end and would need an edit to clip that out. and since they’re so short a loop gets real repetitive real fast.

i’m not sure what the intended use for some of the stuff is - if there even was one! a lot of things are miscategorized in the folders or broken outright, haha.

i’m thinking of maybe incorporating sound effects and music into my clip art playground clip city… i think that could be fun and give it even more of a corny old-game vibe. kid’s games used to have so many obnoxious sound effects for everything hahah.

i’d love to hear ideas you folks have for sound effects and weirdly-short music clips! have you used any on your site? would you like to see people posting “sound effects” pages the way we post graphics pages? what would be a good way to “display” a less-than-one-second-long audio clip of a honking bassoon, even?
some kind of soundboard people could play with might be fun… i dunno what form that would take, though… much to ponder…

On my Halloween site, I have a page full of fun Halloween-themed sound effects I’ve yoinked from defunct, archived websites (my favorites by far are the AOL sound effects recorded by Elvira!). I did a similar setup for my Mighty Ducks: The Animated Series site, though that needs more work.

On my Invader Zim site, though, I have a sound clip as an easter egg if you click on the title graphic in the header!

No huge ideas coming off of me right now but your clip art playground/city are SO cute, I love little drag and drop things like that :') Silly sound effects would be right at home there, I think.
