On a somewhat related note, I wonder if we’ll soon see a big revival of handwritten zines, snail mail, and forms of art that are very obviously handcrafted. Not that these things have ever actually died, but the more human imperfection is visible in a work, the harder it is for AI to imitate.

I hope so! There’s an article in Wired that argues for zines for similar reasons:

I like to make digital zines because I can try my best to make them accessible to screen reader users, but do I like the idea of both that’s touched on in the Wired article: disseminating ideas and art physically in-person, but also having a digital version linked so that folks can access it that way.
