This makes the whole discussion about “Do not use <search-engine-a> because they’re bad, use <search-engine-b> instead” so obviously useless. Everyone is dealing with basically everyone else in this space and people should, for the most part, stop pretending.
I don’t think the map is entirely correct though. I might be mistaken but Brave has an independent index and I think Kagi is also using them as part of their results. So maybe this graph is not up to date.
Still, it’s quite clear that the search world is basically Google, Microsoft, and then Microsoft/Google wearing different trench coats.
