VCFMW is right around the corner, and this year, I’ve got the time and money to prepare. One thing I want is some stickers to pass out. I mocked up some concepts, and I’d love some feedback. They’re mostly just larger, full-bleed versions of my 88x31 buttons.

I really love the design of the 2nd one but I feel like the text beneath the title is a bit small and also not contrasted strongly enough with the background. They all look very cool but that one’s my fave!

Just a thought, but wouldn’t it be cool to have a standardized sticker size for 88x31 buttons? I could have a button wall on my water bottle or whatever. What size are you printing these in?

That would be pretty cool… though the result will be heavily pixelated. Which is cool if that’s on purpose.
The images are at 1,092x614 (roughly 3.5"x2" @ 300 dpi). Since modern sticker vendors provide their own public portals for uploading and setting designs, this gives me enough wiggle room and ensures I’ll have enough space, while leaving a slight bleed if they offer 3.5"x2" stickers. Despite that, when I order stickers, I may shrink the width to around 3", if I can.

Not sure if this would be hepful, but pixel art can usually be scaled up pretty well. If you take the original and use “nearest neighbor” resampling, it’ll blow it up to whatever size you need, and then you can up the size along with resampling for a higher DPI.
I did this with a photo once that needed to be printed out on poster board–I actually used a posterize filter on it and took it down to about 30 colors or so, and then used nearest neighbor up to the requirements of the printer. It probably wasn’t up to, say, Apple’s standards, but this was for a family event and it worked well for that.
