Their heavily-marketed AI assistant is a paid monthly extra and doesn’t come as part of the standard offering, which is fantastic, because you can fucking ignore it forever.

AFFiNE looks neat, but I think for most people here Excalidraw alone will do just fine. The extra bells and whistles of AFFiNE are probably needed if you’re doing this on a professional level, working with clients; less so when you’re making a site for you for fun.
Also I’ve seen people do cool stuff with inkscape, so if a vector tool is of intrest to you I wouldn’t write it off just yet. Research it and play with it some first.
But that’s just my opinion :3 article otherwise has very solid advice.
