Nora Reed lays out reasons for people to build their own websites. Most of these are probably familiar to people who frequent the Cafe, but it’s good to see these ideas spreading.

I was excited to see Nora post this yesterday! I think it came about because they were frustrated with folks on Blue Sky complaining that “verification” via domains/DNS was too hard/inaccessible.
I know there are a lot of manifestos out there, but sometimes they end up feeling a bit like preaching to the choir because the person’s audience is already technically-inclined. I feel like Nora has a bit broader of an audience; I hope more people choose to make a website as a result!
