Looking for a no-code, Canva-like website builder

I’ve been telling my girlfriend about the rabbit hole that is the IndieWeb, and she sounds very interested in making her own website. The problem is that she has no interest in learning CSS or HTML. Do you have any recommendations for creating and managing a personal webpage with a drag-and-drop system similar to Canva or PowerPoint?

give wwwobble.org a try! it’s a drag and drop editor that exports .html files, so she can upload her pages to any web host she wants. and, if she does get more interested in HTML/CSS, there’s an optional code view panel that updates live as things on the page get dragged and dropped around, which i think is a great learning tool!

Hey there, straw.page is pretty cool and has a bunch of templates she can choose and play with. There’s also stuff like Petra’s layout builders if she’s up for it. I list others here.

For something just a little different, Kinopio is a cool way to do something creative online.

Hii, it was really funny reading post while working on one. I made Bunnyroll (bunnyroll.plump.lv) a cute & no -code website builder exactly for digital scrapbooking for people know would otherwise shy away from tech.

So it has a drag and drop system but you still get HTML & CSS out of it to export (and if she wants to tinker with). Ah also the pro version is no subscription like other services it is more like a program that you install on your desktop.

Not drag and drop, but if you don’t mind using a template, Publii is pretty great.

hey @Noestus I actually developed a no code website builder that will make your site look and work like a desktop operating system. I’ll be launching it completely free in the next couple of weeks but you can grab it now at meridianos.zip. (for some reason I cant include links in this post). it runs completely locally on your computer using the live server extension in VS code and Chrome.
