Internet Phone Book ❋ Issue 2

The Internet Phone Book is getting ready for Issue 2 and submissions are open, check out Internet Phone Book ❋ Issue 2

This time round they look to be organising websites into 28 “landscapes”.

I have no idea what landscape mine sits in, going to have to give this some thought.

What landscape do you see your website as?

As a Flamed, surely your landscape is a Volcano right?

I have a Koala as my site mascot so maybe I’d have to call mine a forest haha

I picked out forest for mine. I live in a wooded area and you can find mushrooms in the woods, so it made sense to me.

I picked valley. A valley where a lone power pylon stands (its a central part of my home page lol).

I went with “mountain”. It seemed fitting since “dark tower” wasn’t an option.

I went with Jungle!

I definitely want to buy a copy of this when it’s available. I’m sad that the original is sold out.

I understand that it sold out twice, since it apparently had two print runs.

Yeah, it sold out twice. I emailed them asking if issue one will ever get a reprint, and they said it could get one after issue two “at some point”… I certainty hope it does, as I’m one of the people who was not able to get issue one during either of the first print runs (as, iirc, it sold out within HOURS both times. Absolutely did the first run.)

As much as I love the idea of this project, I seriously hope they do something to improve the accessiblity of it, either by having a different printing strategy or allowing people to buy a self-printable copy, otherwise I fear we’ll keep having issues of it just not ending up available to people :(

What on earth is a talisfield, I wonder…

I wonder, too! Tried searching and the Internet does not seem to know, either.

I think it’s a typo for talus field.
They also typo’d volcano.

i think i must’ve been very lucky when i got my copy because i remember i had bought it just by looking it up and seeing that it was still in stock :sob:

I’ve never heard of that either! Go figure.

at least it’s something a search engine can find :)

Maybe I’ll enter this time. What landscape does my website suggest to everyone? Obviously, there’s probably water involved because manatees, but sky and space are part of my theme too.

Those might be spellings from their native languages; aren’t they based in Europe?

Seems very ocean to me!

I went with “crater” for my site–felt appropriate.

could be! Only a typo in English.

I went with orchard! I have a digital garden, and already have a project I like to call orchard about federation digital gardens together
