Good Internet Magazine: a regular publication for the small web

how big should the pieces be
pixelart or standard

standard! at least 300dpi, please! :) you can do it pixel art-esque, but it needs to be high def in order to display properly :)

oh hell yeah! I’ll try to whip something up by the deadline. do tell if there is any specific art that you might want to accompany some topic (but I do already have some cool ideas about connections and wires).

if you stick to the prompts, you’d be doing art for an article! <3 but i’d love for you to get inspired and go where your heart tells you!

just a reminder: this will be an 8.5x11-inch publication. your images should be at least 4 inches to be halfway into the page. 8.5 inches if you want the full width! :)

@candycanearter07 this might answer your question a bit better. sorry if i wasn’t clear before!

Thanks for the ping! Sorry I didn’t see this earlier. I’ll update by the end of this week what prompt I’ll be doing (or if I can’t do it at all ¯_(ツ)_/¯)

late to the thread, but i’m interested in contributing some art and potentially a writing piece, assuming it’s alright to do both. very excited for this magazine!

totally alright to do both or either! ^^ as long as you can hit the deadline!!

I got very inspired by the “being overstimulated by the amount of internet” prompt, and it got me making something!! IK I’m not an active member around, is it okay if I still submit it once it’s done?

yes! we’ve got people outside the community submitting. it’s not a prerequisite. :)

Is there any specific way to submit the artwork or should I just upload the files somewhere & link them here?

please email them to alexandra@goodinternetmagazine.com! :)

Just mailed my submission.

Quick question: The submission guidelines ask for .docx for text/low-interactive pieces, but how do you want us to handle references? Footnotes, endnotes, links, none of the above?

inline links would be ideal!

Oh I would like to try and do something for this!

Nvm, was interested in the meeting others/servers one, but I’ve got deadlines next week so I don’t think I can make it. Hoping to pull thru tho :boom::boom::boom:

I’m running out of time so looks like I won’t have time to create something by deadline. I can do something quickly though if you need something really specific illustration-wise…
