I posted a reflection on my return to the personal web this year. Kudos to all of you here at the 32-Bit Cafe in particular; you’ve all played a big part in restoring my faith in the internet.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your blogs and getting to know you through your writing!
Not a 2025 reflection, unfortunately. Not sure I really have something to say about this year broadly that I haven’t said in other posts.
So, for now - game discussion!
My end-of-year post is baby kale young! Questions writing it brought me to ask:
Is your shame in the role of a motivator?
Is your shame what imposes on you?
Is your shame given options to break down?
Is your shame a relative of Robert Freitas’s grey goo?
You don’t have a new name every 4 words?
You go through what words are made from.
Would you make up one word with me?
Will you name seeds too young to consent?
Wail, pour, sob - can language also befriend?

really loving everyone’s roundups/year in reviews!! did mine on my media blog for all the best movies, music, games, tv shows I enjoyed this year: Finny's 2025 In Review ~ videoclub2000
Oh and I did one for my project blog too, about art and web stuff that I was able to achieve this year: Art Summary 2025 | [finnybox].blogspot.com
this is so awesome LOL!! finally an awards ceremony worth my time ![]()
I finally created my first set of pixel art badges ![]()
The Weekly Wrap Up is posted! Links this week include a story about school lunch ladies, a game of telephone with art and a set of Office icons that have turned into Mimics. I talk about my Christmas, playing Everquest2, share a link to a post someone made for Steam sale recommendations and talk about some recent updates I’ve made to the website. Plus, as usual, I listened to, read and watched things.
These are super cute, but man does it bum me out that the Internet Explorer icon is forever associated with “the internet”. ![]()
Bandwagoning the 2025 reflections (and attempting to be positive
).
LOL i know. I should make a “netscape navigator” or 'firefox" one too. Or a general web icon. And thank you <3
I have a hard time watching medical shows for the same reason, haha. One of the few I’ve been able to tolerate is The Pitt … still has some technical errors here and there, but it’s more realistic than most. Oh, and Getting On (the original by Jo Brand, not the American take on it) – technical errors there as well, but it does a good job of capturing the dark humour of the profession.
I’ll have to check out Royal Flying Doctor Service. I have so much respect for medical flight crews!
These look great! I love the palette you choose too. Making desktop icons is one of my favorite things ever, and yours turned out amazing!
These are so cute!! Love that colour palette.
I’ve done a little pixel art in the past and would like to attempt to make my own desktop icons - particularly relevant given the OS-inspired layout I’m working on - but I would be interested in your Ko-Fi if you decide to go that route in future ![]()
Probably last blogpost of 2025. I watched the FNAF 2 movie the other day and I am clearly being Very Normal about it.
Thank you so much! I appreciate it :D
Thank you so much! I’d love to see your icons if you create them :D
100% agree with all ur thoughts on creating/drawing. im doing better but still fighting the feeling that probs people will think my stories and projects are silly or cringe and that it will bother me. it shouldnt but that really adds to lack of motivation for me. by the way I feel so guilty that I didnt attack u back this artfight after u gifted me such a beautiful piece, if youll be back in 2026 I will actually make do on my promise haha!
Thanks for reading! Glad a little part of it resonated with you ![]()
I will hopefully do artfight again next year but I’ll be on exchange so idk. And anyway don’t feel pressured to attack me, I never expect revenges anyway.
