This thread inspired me to create my own start page / browser home page. It only contains a few links I need often, my public bookmarks and some tools I need sometimes. The style is a bit different from the rest of my website and also from what I have seen is this thread, but I wanted to try something different.

Update: Added a button that hides all the items on the page.
Sometimes I prefer for the startpage to be empty, tried to implement this before but I didn’t like how obnoxious the button looked. Finally realized that I could add opacity property & that fixed the problem. Now it’s only full opacity when hovered or focused on! 
Edit: Apparently you have to open the images in a new tab to see them fully.

I absolutely love the idea of being able to empty the start page.
I spent entirely too long on this and had a lot of fun making something ostensibly just for me. I have it live so I can use it from multiple computers, but it may not look great on your device so here’s a screenshot :)

thanks! I found them on a reaaaaallly old planted tank forum years ago and just figured out you could put pictures in a marquee!

Currently rebuilding my startpage from scratch, I love everything I’m seeing in here! I’m slow to pick up on technical skills but damn, mine looks incredibley basic in comparison!
