It’s sad that it took the covid pandemic for people to be aware of how bad mono can be and how long it sticks around. Interesting about the ADHD - I have it too and was diagnosed early but I fought that diagnosis because the medications for it 20 years ago didn’t work for me, and I didn’t have the “classic look” of ADHD. I hadn’t thought about how that might have made post-viral stuff and childhood trauma harder to handle.

I am so sorry you’ve had this for so long. I have seen people in the r/nonallergicrhinitis talk about having it for ten years even after a cold. It’s hard to explain how debilitating it is because it sounds minor, but the fatigue and post-nasal stuff is horrible. I’m only on month 4/5 and I am struggling with acceptance.

I appreciate the small web in general because this has given me something to do on bedbound sick days and because, for better or worse, so many people in the website-building community are dealing with these issues so many people don’t understand at all. I’m sorry so many people here get it, but it also helps me feel less crazy waking up each day not sure if I’ll be able to get through my commitments or have to cancel things and feel guilty for not being the person I was before covid.
