I made a post about a blog post I made, except I wasn’t happy with my writing and deleted both a few minutes later. However, looking at the post I made on here, I can see the edit history even when logged out.
Why do we have this feature? I can understand wanting a back-up of deleted/edited posts due to bad actors, but I’d say it also brings up some privacy concerns. I can easily imagine a scenario where someone no longer feels safe/comfortable with something personal they’ve shared, for example. Maybe this history could be visible to the poster and to admins, but invisible to everyone else, especially logged out individuals.
It’s not a huge deal in my experience thus far, I’m just concerned about possible future issues and/or this forum being discovered by more nefarious types or something.
Thank you for reading!
