Hi everybody ! How are you doing ? I hope this post finds you well. ![]()
Here, I am definitely at the heart of Autumn, with nice temperatures, chestnuts, and tree leaves falling little by little. However, winter is at the corner, and with it : Christmas ! Looking at various pixel cliques all around the web, I suddenly thought : « Christmas Tree decorations would make a perfect excuse for a pixel-clique. »
And this is how I have come, little by little, with two pixel-art projects, that I explain in more details here (take a little time (5 to 10 minutes) to read this, because it is a bit long to read and, since I wanted to put a little bit of democracy into it, there are polls you can answer) : Merry Christmas :-)
In terms of graphics, I absolutely don’t limit creativity : if you want to draw a small Christmas ball, it’s great, but it is great too if your participation is a gift box, a candy, or whatever you think might fit. For example, if you have any local/national specialty for Christmas, such as a special kind of cake, why not sharing it too ?
You could think about participating it as a collective gift we’re making to ourselves, I guess ?
I am also sharing it on nekoweb and neocities discord.

There are some news on the page (Merry Christmas :-))
To summarize it here :
- polls were closed, and their results were taken into account to create consistent rules for the wallpaper pixel art project
- for the wallpaper, ornaments maximum size is 37x37 pixels, and ornaments size should be of an impair number of pixels (35x35, 33x33, etc.)
- a display page was created for this wallpaper project
- the css-positionning christmas tree project is moving forward too : polls were created where respondents can chose between two designs and if the artists still agree on 7 December, the page will be putted online and submissions open.
Good day
