🚧 What did you do to your website today?

NO WAY! That is so cool!

It was a fun time there at the start of the web. This guy Mark Meloon had a Godzilla page, and clued me in to where I could order the more recent movies on bootleg VHS, which I did. So I’d get a Godzilla film originally in Japanese, dubbed into Cantonese or something, and subtitled in English.

Worked around the issue I mentioned before with deploying my Eleventy website from its Gitea repository hosted by 32-Bit Cafe via Gitea action after converting my website’s template engine to Vento, by switching to using Node.js instead of Bun as the JavaScript runtime to generate my website in the Gitea action workflow, so I moved back to deploying my website from the Gitea repo instead of its mirror repo on GitHub.

I discovered this workaround when I was learning to host my own Gitea instance (and I’m planning to move my website’s repositories to my own Gitea instance). I’m still using Bun when I work on my website in my local machine, but I added a new script to package.json to be used by Gitea action.

I finally got round to adding automatic OPML generation to my RSS Starterpacks.

I’ll need to add an explanation to my colophon at some point because I think the UI/UX is pretty neat

i spent several hours today putting up new backgrounds and reworking the backgrounds display page! there are now :sparkles: 510 :sparkles: backgrounds! over 200 new ones!! and you can use clicky buttons to filter them, thanks to solaria’s fantastic css filtering tutorial - they’re all color-tagged. boy that took a while hahahaha. worth it though!!!

i was going to try tagging for other characteristics but realized that would take waaaaaaaaay too long lol.

Wow, they are nice! I may consider using one day. Maybe my site needs to switch to a dark mode.

Thanks for sharing soalrias demo as well. I was just starting to think about how I might add tag filtering to my own blog

I need to spend some time in Slash Pages 3, I think.

All the pages are accessible from my homepage, but the updated menu isn’t up yet.

it’s been a couple days, but I broke my site by adding a music player. Gonna look into alternatives lmao.

I have migrated all my websites to my first VPS! I’m hosting my own Gitea instance to host my websites’ repositories too.

Lately I’ve been working on proper book and movie logs for my site. I also made a new gallery page, because I got an urge to just post some pictures without context.

Working on my first shrine! It’s gonna basically be a fake blog written from the perspective of one of my fav movie characters. I’ve been having a lot of fun making the layout, but have also been pulling my hair out trying to get it consistent across browsers…

Made use of the Lavender Latte layout that was submitted to the Cafe’s recent tea party event and a dreamy cloudscape image shared above to make a birthday present in progress for someone very dear to me.

nothing horribly exciting, i moved my stamps to a different folder to fit each OC im using them for rather than being scattered with my ā€˜about me’ stamps, and just fixed the … weirdly 102px sized stamp hidden amidst my 99px stamps :raised_eyebrow:

Been messing with my navigation for grimoire entries/blog posts. Putting everything in roughly the same section:
