Using an unfamiliar package manager like

apk rm topgrade
apk remove topgrade
apk uninstall topgrade
apk --help
apk del topgrade
doas apk del topgrade

True. Sometimes I just go up through my shell history to find a pacman command because I can never remember the flags :frowning:

I ended up installing the vpm front-end on Void (that’s short for “virtual package manager”) because raw XBPS is just alien. Went back to Debian and good old apt soon after anyway.

Funny how dnf and yum before it were a lot more approachable. This can be done right.

Wait until you try finding packages for Puppy Linux outside their forum. Particularly on old releases from before they added .deb compatibility.

Nobody outside their small community makes them in .pup format.
Early Puppy was a nightmare to install software on.

Luckily times changed and now they support the Debian format…
