I think the Neocities supporter tier is called that because the people who pay for it support the website financially, not because Neocities promises more user support to them.

Thanks so much for your feedback about InfinityFree. I’m coming near the end of a second try at testing them, and it’s working for me now. I’m guessing there was some problem the first day I tried it(perhaps with their DNS servers?).
I’ve uploaded my php guest book in addition to the normal test site as a test of the php support, and it’s working.
Is it ok if I link to your additional response about InfinityFree, perhaps even quote some?

Your article helped me a lot, I actually found it before I found this forum, so thank you. I ended up using Codeberg and they’ve been great, basically perfect for a static site with a custom domain name (with or without an SSG).
One thing to know, though, is that they can be a little picky about how you license your content. They seem to be pretty lenient towards small sites and personal content, but this might be a deterrent for some people.
