My graphic and UI designs and a bit of backstory

I started designing back in 2021 in middle school, initially focusing on traditional skeuomorphic and frutiger aero design. On Jan 2023, I launched my first website under the Solinus alias. For a while I continued to specialize in that niche and was moderately successful.

However starting in the middle of 2024 I began to burn out and stopped creating as much. By Jan 2025 I was back designing, but I was less focused on quality and more on “get this idea out of the door”. These designs are not shown on my website and hence why there is a gap between Jul 2024 and June 2025.

Starting in June 2025, I began to recover from that burnout, and the later part of 2025 was a mixed bag, but it did have some real gems!

However, around mid-2026 I began to burn out yet again, but this time, I decided to simply take a break, rebrand myself as Skyweaver, and began experimenting. I attempted to quit Discord but all it did was disconnect me from the communities I know, so eventually I went back to Discord for design communities. These days I still specialize in Frutiger Aero/skeuo, but I have also begun to experiment in styles like vectorheart!

I heard that a musician that I follow a lot (Jamie Paige) suffered similar burnout in her musical career, and one of the reasons was that she once believed that any small idea should grow into a complete, full song, and I realized I shared a similar idea with my designs. Since then I’ve been trying to start creating works and experiments for the sole purpose of seeing what sticks and what doesn’t. It’s going to be hard to deal with the fact that I’ll be creating things no one else will ever see, but here’s hoping.

It’s good to stay sharp, even if some projects stay private.
