I donât really attribute hyperlinks like that? I just try to embed them into the sentence?

The Authors Guildâs most recent income survey found full-time published authors earning a median of just over $20,000 a year, and thatâs the optimistic number filtering out those reporting no income at all. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statisticsâ median of $72,270 for the broad âwriters and authorsâ category, a number mostly describing salaried technical writers and copywriters, not people trying to live off books or blogs.
This, incidentally, is why I never quit my day job. I gross in a year as a developer what most novelists are lucky to gross in five. And, no, itâs not right.

I wrote up a new post about what it costs to operate Pagecord, the indie blogging product I run. Costs have doubled (
) but itâs still (just) profitable and I take no income. After 2.5 years Iâve learned that these things can only really survive as a total labour of love!

Links this week include a site where you receive a message but first you have to leave one, paintings on paper towels and a virtual museum of mechanical keyboards you can actually âtypeâ on. Another cross stitch project has been completed! I talk about cross stitch drama, slogging through AI while searching for an image and an upcoming visit to the doctor. Plus, as usual, I listened to, read and watched things.

my siblings and I are all now in our 30s and maintain our annual tradition of eating out with each other for our birthdays (as a sibling bonding thing):

Ugh Iâm sorry about the dogpiling. I hate that and I actually expected more from that sub. Iâve been duped by an AI pattern and I was VERY scrupulous in my searching, reviews, etc. It was the insane confetti that took me out there too, and now I know how to look for it.
