From a personal perspective? “No moderation whatsoever” still sounds miserable. If my comment section were getting targeted with deliberate spam 24/7 for months on end by someone who with an axe to grind and who kept making new accounts for block evasion, and if I contacted staff to report it as harassment, I wouldn’t be satisfied with a response like “well, at least we didn’t algorithmically recommend him to you.”
