Hello, sorry if this isn’t the right place for this topic (ᵕ—ᴗ—).
I need some feedback on this page on my site N emo corner, where I review emo music (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)! I unfortunately feel like it doesn’t really look that good or read as sufficiently emo,
I kind of need advice, design-wise, on what I can do, and what I could do to make it look more 2000s music review site-esque. I can’t really find any good inspo (‘’‘’ •᷄ ᴗ •᷅ )
so far I like the colours and font choice you have but it seems like its in its early stage. i would recommend visiting other emo or music-centric sites, especially those that were online in the 2000s, here are sites for two of my fave bands Lo Pro and Elliott that I think are pretty great:
You can also browse general alt music sites, some of them looked really awesome!
If you want something more contemporary my friend Alice is an emo expert and she has many amazing emo pages I think you’ll enjoy and get some inspiration from.
You can also browse the old sites of your fave bands or fanlistings (present or past) dedicated to your fave bands. What kinda bands are you gonna be reviewing?
Thank you for the advice and for linking webpages!! Yeah my page is in its early stages rn.
The bands I am gonna review right now are pierce the veil, sunny day real estate and sleeping with sirens. But then again, i’m going to have to do some research on whether those bands are like emo or not cause im getting like conflicting information here
imma be real, you will find arguments for whether those bands both are and are not emo that are passionate and detailed lol. i think they all fall within the emo/pop-punk/post-hardcore umbrella and being super precise with the definition of ‘emo’ is kind of a waste of time but do as you see fit of course. i love SDRE so Im excited to see your reviews for their albums, love all their albums but my personal fave is probably How It Feels to Be Something On.
I think you always risk running into very opinionated people on this topic but I doubt you’ll offend anyone, in the end its all good music ahah, and hurray! i will keep an eye out for that review <3
