DOCTYPE magazine

When I was a kid my mom bought us a Radio Shack TRS-80. It hooked up to our TV and used a cassette recorder to run programs. What programs? The ones the computer magazines of the day had in them! I can’t tell you how much time I laboriously spent typing in (and re-typing) BASIC code to get something goofy to run.

In case you yearn for those bygone times or want to experience them for yourself, someone has made an actual magazine with code you can type in to get some kind of web app - maybe a game, a puzzle or something else!

ok that’s a nifty idea. (also, I had a TRS-80 as a kid too! No tape recorder though.)

I suspect beginners would prefer to copy and paste, but still.

(A little disappointed that all the contributor names appear to be male though. Makes it look like a boy’s hobby.)

Fair point, but there’s nothing to stop women from doing their own if the doctype people refuse other contributors, is there?
